EventsMonial operates as an online marketplace that helps customers discover and connect with independent service providers offering event related services, such as catering, decoration, photography, venues, and allied event solutions. EventsMonial itself does not provide event services and does not employ or control the vendors listed on the Platform.

This Privacy Policy applies to all individuals who access or use our Platform, including but not limited to, customers seeking event services, vendors listing their services, visitors to our website or applications, and users who interact with us through newsletters, blogs or any other support channels.

By accessing the Platform or by sharing your personal information with us, you acknowledge and agree that your personal data may be collected, used, processed, stored and shared in the manner described in this Privacy Policy, subject to applicable laws and, where required, your consent.

Please note that withdrawing your consent will result in limiting your ability to use certain features of the Platform, and in certain circumstances we may retain specific information where we are required to do so, by law or for any other legitimate purposes.

When you use our Platform, we collect information that helps the Platform operate as intended, enables us to provide our services and facilitates connections between Customers and Vendors.

Some information is provided directly by you. For example, when you create an account, submit an inquiry, communicate through the Platform, subscribe to updates, complete forms or otherwise interact with us, you may provide information such as your name, contact details, event requirements, preferences, location details, communications and any other information relevant to your request or use of the Platform.

Vendors who list their services on the Platform may provide additional information including business details, service offerings, pricing information, contact details, photographs, portfolios, licences, registrations, tax information, identity documents, certifications and other information or documents required for onboarding, verification, compliance, fraud prevention, risk management, operational or platform administration purposes.

Certain information is collected automatically when you access or use the Platform. This may include device information, browser information, IP addresses, approximate location information, pages viewed, referral sources, usage patterns, clickstream data and other interaction data. We collect such information through cookies, analytics tools and similar technologies to operate, secure, improve and analyse the performance of the Platform.

We may also receive information from third-party sources, including analytics providers, advertising and marketing partners, social media platforms, service providers and other lawful sources where you choose to interact with, connect or authorise such services in connection with the Platform.

The Platform is intended for individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. We use personal data to operate, maintain, administer and improve the Platform; create and manage user accounts; connect Customers with relevant Vendors; facilitate inquiries, bookings and communications; provide customer support; administer Membership Plans and Platform features; verify user and Vendor information; prevent fraud, misuse and unauthorised activity; maintain Platform security; enforce our Terms and policies; and comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

Where applicable, we may use information to evaluate, rank, score, sort, recommend, highlight or otherwise present Vendor profiles, services and listings through automated systems, algorithms, analytics tools or artificial intelligence powered features, including the EventsMonial planning assistant known as "MONI".

Where permitted under applicable law or based on your consent, we may also use personal data for analytics, research, product development, service improvement, marketing communications, promotional activities and the development of new features, products or services.

We do not process personal data for purposes that are incompatible with the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or otherwise prohibited under applicable laws.

We use cookies, pixels, tags, web beacons and other similar technologies to operate, secure and improve the Platform, analyse usage patterns, remember user preferences, measure the effectiveness of content and marketing campaigns, understand user interactions and support analytics, advertising and promotional activities.

We utilize third party analytics, behavioral recording, and marketing platforms, including but not limited to Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity, and automated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, operating as our Data Processors. These tools collect and process technical metadata (including IP addresses, device operating system parameters, browser user-agent strings, unique cookie identifiers, and scroll/click behavior logs) strictly to optimize platform security, analyze systemic user behavior, and serve customized promotional marketing campaigns.

You may manage certain cookie preferences through your browser or device settings. Please note that some cookies and similar technologies are necessary for the operation, security and functionality of the Platform and cannot be disabled without affecting certain features or services.

We do not sell personal data.

To facilitate connections between Customers and Vendors, we may share information provided by Customers with relevant Vendors. Depending on the stage of the inquiry or booking process, this may include event requirements, preferences, location details, budget information, contact information and other information reasonably necessary to enable Vendors to assess inquiries, respond to requests, communicate with Customers and provide Vendor Services.

Once personal data is shared with a Vendor for the purposes of responding to an inquiry, facilitating a booking or providing Vendor Services, such Vendor acts as an independent Data Fiduciary in respect of the personal data processed by it and shall be responsible for its own handling, use, storage and processing of such information in accordance with applicable laws.

We may also share information with service providers, analytics providers, advertising and marketing partners, technology providers, artificial intelligence service providers, professional advisors, auditors, regulators, law enforcement agencies, government authorities and other parties where required for the operation of the Platform, compliance with legal obligations, protection of legal rights, fraud prevention, security purposes, business transfers or other legitimate business purposes.

We may use or disclose aggregated, anonymised or de-identified information for analytics, research, reporting, product development, service improvement and other lawful business purposes.

Personal data is primarily processed in India. However, certain service providers engaged by EventsMonial, including technology providers, analytics providers, cloud service providers, artificial intelligence service providers and other business partners, may process personal data outside of India.

Where such cross-border processing or transfers occur, EventsMonial shall take reasonable steps to ensure that such processing is carried out in accordance with applicable laws and subject to appropriate contractual, technical or organisational safeguards, where required.

By using the Platform and providing your personal data, you acknowledge and consent to such processing and transfers in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

To facilitate inquiries, bookings and communications between Customers and Vendors, EventsMonial may share relevant information with Vendors and Vendors may contact Customers directly in connection with a specific inquiry, booking or requested service. Vendors are independent entities and are solely responsible for complying with applicable telecommunication, marketing, privacy and consumer protection laws in relation to their communications.

EventsMonial does not control the independent communication practices of Vendors and shall not be responsible for communications, marketing activities or conduct undertaken by Vendors outside the Platform.

EventsMonial has appointed a Grievance Officer to address complaints, concerns and grievances relating to personal data processing, privacy matters, communication issues, platform conduct and the alleged misuse of personal data.

Grievances may be submitted by email together with relevant details or supporting information. EventsMonial shall review complaints in good faith and take such action as may be considered appropriate in accordance with applicable law, this Privacy Policy and its internal policies and procedures.

While using the EventsMonial Platform, you may encounter links, integrations, tools or services operated by third parties, including Vendor websites, social media platforms, analytics providers, artificial intelligence service providers and other external services. Such third party services are provided for convenience and are not owned, operated or controlled by EventsMonial unless expressly stated otherwise.

Once you leave the EventsMonial Platform or interact with a third party service, any information you provide may be collected, processed and used in accordance with the privacy policies and practices of that third party. EventsMonial does not control and is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, security measures or data handling activities of third party websites, applications or services.

Certain features of the Platform may enable you to interact with third party tools, integrations or services. If you choose to use such features, the relevant third party may collect information directly from you or your device in accordance with its own policies. You may be able to manage or revoke certain permissions through your account settings or directly through the relevant third party service.

EventsMonial shall not be responsible for any loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure or processing of personal data that occurs through third-party services outside the EventsMonial Platform.

EventsMonial operates from India. Users accessing the Platform from outside India acknowledge that their personal data may be collected, processed, stored and transferred in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law, including processing that may occur in India or other jurisdictions through authorised service providers.

17.1 Governing Law: This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including applicable data protection, information technology and other relevant laws.

17.2 Jurisdiction: Subject to applicable law, any disputes arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy or the processing of personal data by EventsMonial shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
